According to the World Economic Forum, the top 3 skills of the future are complex problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity.
The job of a Creative Strategist is to blend all three together to create genuine change and meaningful social impact. And that's what I do.
With over a decade's experience in innovation, project implementation, strategy, and entrepreneurship, I have worked hard to cultivate my ability to couple big picture thinking with practical, human-centred results.
It's this ability that's helped me create systemic change in government, launch a successful social enterprise, and help other SMEs and entrepreneurs alike.
I began my career at Accenture working as a business analyst on projects for leading Australian supermarket chain Coles and UK retail giant Argos.
With a passion for human behaviour, innovation, and social impact, I later joined public value consultancy Cube Group, where I went on to work on projects such as managing the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, supporting development of Gender Equality legislation, and pioneering new methods that streamlined bureaucracy across Government Departments.
Ever attuned to creative opportunities that make an impact, I saw an untapped opportunity to connect local artists and businesses in a way that makes a positive impact on workplace mental health, whilst supporting Australia’s flagging art industry.
In 2017, I founded ColourSpace, Australia’s first certified visual arts social enterprise that has since gone on to bring local art and talent to the likes of the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Victorian Governor Solicitor’s Office, and Grand Hyatt. Our work in raising awareness on the mental health benefits of art has culminated in the recent transformation of Liverpool Hospital in NSW into a rotating gallery.
In addition to running ColourSpace, I am also a speaker, advisor, and coach, leveraging my diverse experiences to help people create meaningful, human-centred change.
ColourSpace is a certified arts social enterprise that helps organisations create beautiful, dynamic work spaces that improve the wellbeing and mental health of staff and visitors.
We do this by regularly curating and changing the art on display, all of which is sourced from a diverse community of local, emerging artists.
In short, we help you look good, feel good, and do good with art.
Let me bring a uniquely creative yet pragmatic perspective to your community. I am passionate about delivering engaging keynotes on:
Keynotes range from 20 minutes to an hour.
Action speaks louder than words, but sometimes we need an external perspective to help clarify exactly what action is needed.
That's where I can help.
I bring my unique ability to understand the big picture of what you want to achieve, clarify in-depth the problems you face, and work with you to identify creative yet effective solutions.
This can be via dedicated workshops or longer term advisory and consultancy services.
I love teaching. It's why I was a martial arts coach for 13 years.
Now, I provide business coaching and mentoring for leaders, SMEs, and social enterpreneurs alike, specifically focusing on:
I believe in outcomes, not packages, so contact me to see how I can help you.
“For those considering other ways of improving the workplace from a mental health perspective, don't overlook the power of art,” Scott Ko told Yahoo Finance.
I give a talk on what it means to start, run, and grow a social enterprise for the ACPNS.
